Mrs. Rina C. Hirsch, M.A., has her Bachelors degree in Psychology and her Masters degree in Theatre. She has been writing and directing plays and workshops for over fifteen years to children and adults alike in various institutions including: Camp Kaylie, HAFTR, Camp Atara, Ohel, the Young Israel of West Hempstead, Magen David Yeshivah, Elmhurst Hospital, The Hospital for Joint Diseases, The Sephardic Community Center, Camp Moshava, S.A.R. Academy, and The Frisch School. Rina also studied Drama Therapy for three years through the National Association for Drama Therapy (NADT) and Hunter College, and wrote her Masters Thesis on using Drama Therapy for conflict resolution in the elementary school classroom.
Inspired by Rina’s childhood love of theatre and drama, Drama for Life! was created as an all girls’ drama and theatre program encouraging self-confidence and self-esteem for frum girls. Drama for Life allows girls to empower themselves through self-expression, creativity, and imaginative role-play. Founded in 2004 by Rina C. Hirsch, M.A., it has given hundreds of girls the opportunity to express themselves within a fun, safe, and Torah observant environment.
